PTA Purposes · To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship. · To raise the standards of home life. · To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. · To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth. · To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education. |

PTA Structure
· CCCC of PTAs includes 45 Local Units located within Clear Creek ISD, Dickinson ISD and La Marque ISD and is part of Area 10 PTA. Organized in 1950. · Area 10 includes the following counties: Austin, Brazoria, Colorado, Galveston, Matagorda and Wharton. (If a county is divided between Areas, the school district will be listed instead of the county.) · Area 10 includes the following Independent School Districts: Brazos, Clear Creek, Fort Bend, Friendswood, Hempstead, Katy, Kendleton, Lamar, La Porte, Needville, Pasadena, Pearland, Royal, Stafford, and Waller. · Area 10 is located in Region 2. · Texas PTA is over 600,000 members strong and is composed of 6 Regions, 18 Areas, and 42 Councils. · National PTA is nearly 6 million members strong with 54 state congresses, (includes the District of Columbia, Europe, Pacific and the Virgin Islands) in 23,000 local chapters. |
